About the role

PT Biko Indonesia is seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters and Waitresses to join our dynamic hospitality team in Central Jakarta. This is a full-time position where you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Waiter or Waitress, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return.

What you’ll be doing

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and providing them with menus and beverages
• Taking accurate food and drink orders from customers and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serving food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring orders are correct and meet quality standards
• Checking on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and addressing any concerns immediately
• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, tables, and service stations
• Setting tables according to establishment standards and restocking supplies as needed
• Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operations
• Upselling menu items and suggesting beverages to enhance the dining experience
• Following health and safety regulations and food handling procedures
• Assisting with special requests and accommodating dietary requirements where possible

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working as a waiter or waitress in a restaurant or hospitality establishment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clientele
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remember orders accurately
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining calm under pressure
• Professional grooming standards
• Knowledge of menu items and ability to make recommendations
• Punctuality and reliability with a strong work ethic
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and calculating bills
• Fluency in English and Indonesian is advantageous
