Zusammenfassung

remotepeople is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to review and evaluate electrical designs for overseas solar PV projects. You will assess system configurations, grid connection requirements, and tender documents to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.

The role requires strong knowledge of solar PV electrical systems, EPC delivery, and international standards. Based in Indonesia, you will coordinate with EPCs, consultants, and the headquarters team throughout the project

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical design review or engineering support for solar PV projects.
• Knowledge of solar PV electrical systems, design principles, and grid connection requirements.
• Familiarity with EPC project delivery and tender evaluation.

Aufgaben

• Review tender documents for overseas solar PV projects and identify key technical requirements, specifications, and contractual obligations.
• Evaluate technical clauses, identify engineering risks, and provide recommendations to support bidding and decision-making.
• Conduct technical due diligence and assess feasibility of proposed engineering solutions.
• Review electrical designs for solar PV power plants, including system configuration and grid connection requirements.
• Assess design compliance with project specs, standards, and Indonesian regulations.
• Identify design gaps and recommend improvements for performance, reliability and cost.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and project partners for technical matters.
• Work with headquarters construction management and renewable energy teams for reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate technical discussions and ensure alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical support across tendering, engineering, procurement, construction and implementation stages.
• Review technical proposals and project deliverables, and support resolution of technical risks and discrepancies.
• Prepare and manage technical reports, review comments, tender assessments, and documentation.

2.Electrical Design Review

• Review and evaluate electrical designs for solar PV power plants, including system configuration, power generation systems, electrical equipment selection, and grid connection requirements.


• Assess design compliance with project specifications, applicable international standards, and local Indonesian regulations.


• Identify design gaps and recommend technical improvements to enhance project performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.


• EPC and Stakeholder Coordination


• Liaise with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and other project partners to coordinate technical matters and resolve design-related issues.


• Work closely with the headquarters construction management department and renewable energy teams to complete comprehensive technical reviews throughout the project lifecycle.


• Facilitate technical discussions, clarify project requirements, and ensure alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders.

5.Project Technical Support

• Provide technical support throughout the tendering, engineering, procurement, construction, and project implementation stages.


• Review technical proposals, engineering documents, equipment specifications, and other project deliverables.


• Support the identification and resolution of technical risks, design discrepancies, and engineering challenges.

6.Documentation and Communication

• Prepare and manage technical reports, design review comments, tender assessments, and project-related documentation.


• Coordinate technical communication between overseas project teams, headquarters, EPC contractors, and international business partners.


• Support knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the smooth implementation of international solar PV projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related engineering discipline.


• Proven experience in electrical design review, technical tender evaluation, or engineering support for solar PV projects.


• Good knowledge of solar PV power plant electrical systems, engineering design principles, equipment specifications, and grid connection requirements.


• Familiarity with EPC project delivery, tender evaluation, technical due diligence, and the full project engineering review process.


• Ability to independently assess technical proposals, identify engineering risks, and recommend practical solutions.


• Willing to be based in Indonesia on a long-term basis.


• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required by project needs.
