Job summary

Remote People Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to review overseas tender documents for solar PV projects and to assess key technical requirements and contractual obligations.

The role involves evaluating engineering risks, conducting due diligence, and supporting bidding decisions from our Indonesia base. You will review electrical designs, assess grid connection needs, and coordinate with EPC contractors and partners to resolve design issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• Experience in electrical design review for solar PV projects.
• Familiar with tender evaluation and due diligence.
• Ability to assess technical proposals and risks independently.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Tender Review and Technical Evaluation

• Review tender documents for overseas solar PV projects and identify key technical requirements, specifications, and contractual obligations.
• Evaluate technical clauses, identify potential engineering risks, and provide professional recommendations to support bidding and project decision-making.
• Conduct technical due diligence and assess the feasibility of proposed engineering solutions.

2.Electrical Design Review

• Review and evaluate electrical designs for solar PV power plants, including system configuration, power generation systems, electrical equipment selection, and grid connection requirements.
• Assess design compliance with project specifications, applicable international standards, and local Indonesian regulations.
• Identify design gaps and recommend technical improvements to enhance project performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

EPC and Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and other project partners to coordinate technical matters and resolve design-related issues.
• Work closely with the headquarters construction management department and renewable energy teams to complete comprehensive technical reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate technical discussions, clarify project requirements, and ensure alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders.

5.Project Technical Support

• Provide technical support throughout the tendering, engineering, procurement, construction, and project implementation stages.
• Review technical proposals, engineering documents, equipment specifications, and other project deliverables.
• Support the identification and resolution of technical risks, design discrepancies, and engineering challenges.

6.Documentation and Communication

• Prepare and manage technical reports, design review comments, tender assessments, and project-related documentation.
• Coordinate technical communication between overseas project teams, headquarters, EPC contractors, and international business partners.
• Support knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the smooth implementation of international solar PV projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical design review, technical tender evaluation, or engineering support for solar PV projects.
• Good knowledge of solar PV power plant electrical systems, engineering design principles, equipment specifications, and grid connection requirements.
• Familiarity with EPC project delivery, tender evaluation, technical due diligence, and the full project engineering review process.
• Ability to independently assess technical proposals, identify engineering risks, and recommend practical solutions.
• Willing to be based in Indonesia on a long-term basis.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required by project needs.
