Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring a storage operations specialist in Jakarta to run high-throughput SAN/NAS platforms serving GPU workloads. The role covers LUN/volume management, backups, DR drills, and performance tuning for AI data pipelines using GPFS/Lustre and NVMe-oF.

The candidate should have 4–7 years in enterprise storage, with expertise across Dell EMC/NetApp/HPE platforms, plus Veeam/Commvault/Veritas backups. CI/CD and change control experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 4-7 years hands-on experience in enterprise storage, backup, and infrastructure operations.
• Expertise with Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE storage platforms and related replication technologies.
• Experience with backup software such as Veeam, Commvault or Veritas NetBackup.
• Knowledge of GPFS, GPUDirect Storage, NVMe-oF, NFS/RDMA.
• Linux storage stack troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• RPO/RTO governance and DR test execution.

Role Purpose

Operate the high-throughput storage and data protection layer feeding the GPU training estate, safeguarding performance, availability and recoverability.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise SAN/NAS and parallel file system platforms serving GPU workloads; manage LUNs, volumes, exports, zoning and multipathing.
• Support high-throughput AI data pipelines including NVIDIA GPUDirect Storage (GDS), NVMe-oF and parallel file systems (GPFS/Lustre/WEKA class).
• Own backup and recovery operations — job scheduling, failure remediation, tiered retention policy execution and restore testing.
• Monitor storage capacity, throughput and latency; perform performance tuning and produce growth/capacity forecasts.
• Execute DR replication and participate in periodic DR failover drills against agreed RTO/RPO targets.
• Handle storage incidents, changes and firmware upgrades under change control; coordinate OEM support cases.
• Maintain storage documentation, configuration baselines and compliance evidence.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4-7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage, backup, and infrastructure operations.
• Enterprise storage: Dell EMC PowerMax/PowerStore/Unity, NetApp ONTAP FAS/AFF, HPE Primera; FC SAN zoning and replication.
• Backup platforms: Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup; object/archive tiering.
• Parallel and AI-optimised storage — GPFS, GPUDirect Storage, NVMe-oF, NFS/RDMA.
• Linux storage stack troubleshooting (multipath, I/O scheduler, iSCSI/NFS) and performance analysis.
• RPO/RTO governance and DR test execution.

Preferred Certifications

NetApp NCDA; Dell EMC Proven Professional (Storage); VMCE (Veeam); ITIL 4 Foundation.
