Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise the on-shift Technicians in our critical facility operations in Batam.

The role ensures rounds, maintenance, and safety procedures are followed, and that the shift acts as the technical authority during incidents. You will coordinate MOPs/SOPs/EOPs, review permits, lead first-response to alarms, and coach technicians while maintaining compliance with EHS standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in critical facility or data center operations, including shift supervision.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical critical systems.
• Ability to lead a team calmly under incident conditions.
• Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Shift Technicians during the rostered shift, allocating tasks and verifying completion of rounds, logs, and checklists.
• Act as shift authority for execution of MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, ensuring procedures are followed precisely.
• Lead first-response to alarms and critical incidents, initiating EOPs and escalating as required.
• Review and approve permit-to-work documentation for vendor and contractor activity during the shift.
• Conduct shift handover briefings, ensuring accurate transfer of open issues and risks to the incoming shift.
• Perform quality checks on completed PPM and corrective maintenance tasks in the CMMS.
• Monitor BMS/EPMS dashboards and escalate abnormal trends or thresholds.
• Enforce EHS and safety standards on shift, including PPE and safe work practices.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to Shift Technicians and Day Technicians.

JOB PURPOSE

The Shift Lead supervises the on-shift team of Shift Technicians during a rostered shift, ensuring all critical operations, rounds, and maintenance activities are executed safely and to procedure. The Shift Lead is the senior technical authority on shift and the first point of escalation for any facility event.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct shift handover briefings, ensuring accurate transfer of open issues, in-progress work, and risks to the incoming shift.
• Perform quality checks on completed PPM and corrective maintenance tasks logged in the CMMS.
• Monitor BMS/EPMS dashboards and elevate abnormal trends or thresholds.
• Enforce EHS and safety standards on shift, including PPE compliance and safe work practices.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to Shift Technicians and Day Technicians.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in critical facility or data center operations, including shift supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical critical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team calmly under incident conditions.
• Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
