Job summary

PT Simple Journey Indonesia is seeking a Shift Engineer to monitor servers, applications, networks, and system infrastructure, while handling troubleshooting and incidents in the production environment. You will ensure availability, deploys and maintains applications, and coordinates with teams to resolve outages.

The role requires strong Linux knowledge, experience with monitoring tools, and the ability to work a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure.
• Familiar with Linux servers and the command line.
• Understands networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, firewalls).
• Familiar with system monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, applications, networks, and system infrastructure.

• Handle troubleshooting and incidents in the production environment.
• Monitor system performance and analyze system/application logs.
• Deploy, maintain, and roll back applications according to procedures.
• Check and ensure system availability and service health.
• Escalate incidents and coordinate with relevant teams in the event of an outage.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on infrastructure and systems.
• Ensure system operations run in accordance with SLAs and applicable procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Linux servers and the command line.

• Preferred: Understands the concepts of high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and incident management.
• Preferred: Has experience working with systems that require 24/7 monitoring.
