Job summary

PT. Permata Prima Enjiniring Elektrika is seeking a Service Engineer for Protection Relay (High Voltage Electrical System) to lead protection, SCADA, and substation automation activities.

The role covers testing, commissioning, FAT leadership, system design, and technical training for client engineers and internal teams. English fluency and a strong professional attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor (S1) or Diploma (D3) in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
• At least 3 years of experience in power telecommunication, power electrical engineering, automation, or protection.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with owners, contractors and field engineers.
• Excellent English (written and spoken).
• Self-motivated, interactive and professional.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, and commission relay protections for lines, transformers, bus differential and capacitor schemes.
• Lead FAT and oversee panel/cabinet assembly quality control and schematics.
• Coordinate test reports and post-project configuration filings with stakeholders.
• Provide technical training to client engineers and internal staff; support partner exchanges.

Service Engineer for Protection Relay (High Voltage Electrical System)

Job Description: Protection & Substation Commissioning Engineer

1. Protection & Substation Automation (Core Engineering)

• Relay Protection & Testing: Proficient in design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of relay protections (CYG or other brands) for line, transformer, bus differential, and capacitor schemes.

• SCADA & Telecontrol (RTU/EMS/DMS): Master substation background/SCADA configuration, point-to-point testing, and RTU/modem setup (Dongfang Electric or other brands) for main station communication.

• Protocols & Qualification: Expert in industrial protocols (IEC 61850, 101, 104, DNP3) to resolve communication issues independently. Support project qualification and network access tests (Puslitbang/Pusertif PLN).

2. Auxiliary Systems & Renewable Energy

• PV Microgrid & Inverters: Understand PV microgrid structures, power electronics, and configuration of inverters (TBEA, Ginlong/Solis) and high-frequency power supplies (Xuji).

• Industrial Controls: Commission electrical control systems for dust collectors (Longjing) and provide ongoing technical support for company products.

3. Project Execution & Quality Management

• Reporting & Site Coordination: Independently deliver test reports, manage post-project configuration filings, and coordinate tasks with owners, contractors, and field engineers.

• FAT & Panel Assembly: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and oversee panel/cabinet assembly quality control, schematics, and component selections.

• Technical Training: Conduct technical training for client engineers, junior internal staff, and sales teams, while supporting technical exchanges with partners.

4. System Design & Technical Support

• Fault Analysis & Protection Settings: Perform on-site fault analysis (COMTRADE reports), calculate protection settings for new and expansion substations, and support engineering design works.

• Substation Engineering: Develop capabilities in designing primary and secondary electrical systems for substations.

BASIC REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor degree (S1) at least diploma (D3) in Electrical Engineering graduated from reputable university
• Working experience at least 3 years in the field of power telecommunication, power electrical engineering side, such as power system, automation, and protection, etc
• Good team player, good interactive and interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent English (written and spoken)
• Self-motivated, interactive and professional
