Job summary

Synkrona in Indonesia seeks an experienced Electrical Power Engineer to lead design and engineering tasks across the project lifecycle for Solar PV and renewable energy systems. You will prepare technical deliverables, review vendor documents, and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE/SNI standards.

The role requires at least five years in power generation or substation projects, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office, and strong collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

Job description

Scope Of Work :

1. Conduct secondary-related design and engineering in all stages of a project lifecycle; from the conceptual design or basic engineering design (BED) / FEED design to detailed design (DED) of Solar PV or renewable energy (RE) system using tools (Office, Google Sheet, AutoCAD).


2. Prepare and review technical and engineering document assessing compliance with Client´s Requirements, international and local standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, SNI, SPLN) and regulations, ensuring the implementation of a good industry practice for engineering project.


3. Prepare engineering deliverables including control schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, cable schedules, and communication architecture drawings.

5. Develop technical specifications, datasheets, and review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, SPLN, PUIL, SNI) to make the MTO and BoQ for project costing and procurement.


6. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and support project execution from design to handover.


7. Supporting project managers in the communication and coordination required for successful engineering delivery of projects; ensuring compliance to project requirement and schedule.

Requirements :

1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering, or related field.


2. Minimum 5 years of experience in power generation, renewable energy, industrial power, or substation projects.


3. Familiarity with international and local standards; ensuring the compliance to the national and international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, SPLN, PUIL, SNI)


4. Understanding of Protection & Control Systems, SCADA, Substation Automation Systems (SAS), and electrical network configurations


5. Strong analytical capabilities and technical comprehension to solve complex engineering issues.


6. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a project with multi-disciplinary environment.


7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Plus Point (optional) :

• Excellent English, both oral and written.


• Hands-on experience in Substation (AIS/GIS) secondary engineering projects in Solar PV, BESS, Hybrid Power Plant, or conventional Power Plant projects.


• Experience in detail engineering design (DED) as EPC contractor or site construction monitoring as owner engineer (OE) in RE project.


• Experience in testing and commissioning of Protection Relay Engineering, SCADA, SAS, and IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3systems.


• Exposure to project managerial role.
