Job summary

Tripatra is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation of electrical systems on project sites. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinate with teams to implement solutions across LV/MV switchgear, transformers, and generators.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, 5+ years in maintenance, and demonstrates strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma IV in Electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical equipment maintenance, repair, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in 3+ of the listed electrical equipment specializations.
• Familiar with IEC, ANSI, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA standards.
• Experienced in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical report preparation.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel or be assigned to project sites.

Job description

Requirements & Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree (S1) or Diploma IV (D4) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Instrumentation, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical equipment maintenance, repair, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience in three (3) or more of the following electrical equipment specializations:

• Low Voltage (LV) & Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear
• Power & Distribution Transformers
• Low Voltage (LV) & Medium Voltage (MV) Generators
• Industrial Electrical Heaters
• Electrical Cable Fault Finding and Testing
• Electrical Control & Monitoring Systems
• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) & Battery Systems

Good understanding of electrical systems, equipment diagnostics, fault analysis, and preventive and corrective maintenance.

Familiar with relevant national and international electrical standards such as IEC, ANSI, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA.

Experienced in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment relevant to the assigned specialization.

Ability to analyze equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and technical report preparation.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Committed to complying with applicable HSE procedures, quality standards, and technical specifications.

Willing to travel or be assigned to project sites as required.
