Job summary

PT Wahana Kosmetika Indonesia is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to manage sourcing and evaluation of local and overseas packaging suppliers, with a focus on Chinese manufacturers. You will procure bottles, jars, pumps, caps, boxes, labels, and related components while ensuring specs, quality, and timely delivery.

You will negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms, and monitor supplier performance for price competitiveness and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Industrial Engineering, SCM, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Sourcing.
• Experience with packaging materials and cosmetics/FMCG/manufacturing sectors preferred.
• Experience handling local and international suppliers, especially from China.
• Experience in supplier negotiation, price comparison, and procurement documentation.

• Ensure purchases meet approved specs, quality standards, quantities, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate packaging development and sampling with suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, pricing, responsiveness, and on-time delivery.

Job description

Conduct sourcing, selection, and evaluation of local and overseas suppliers, particularly packaging suppliers from China.

Handle the procurement process for cosmetic packaging materials, including bottles, jars, tubes, caps, pumps, boxes, labels, and other packaging components.

Negotiate pricing, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), lead time, payment terms, and other commercial agreements with suppliers.

Ensure packaging materials are purchased according to approved specifications, quality standards, quantities, and delivery schedules.

Coordinate packaging development and sampling processes with suppliers and internal departments.

Monitor supplier performance, including product quality, pricing competitiveness, responsiveness, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Sourcing.

Experience handling packaging materials, preferably in cosmetic, skincare, FMCG, or manufacturing industries.

Experience dealing with local and international suppliers, particularly suppliers from China, is highly preferred.

Experience in supplier negotiation, price comparison, and procurement documentation.

Familiarity with packaging materials such as plastic, glass, paper, and other packaging components.

Mandarin communication skills are a strong advantage, particularly for direct supplier coordination and negotiation.
