Job summary

PT Sefong Industries Batam is seeking a Senior Maintenance Injection Molding professional to lead our engineering team in Batam, Riau Islands. You will oversee maintenance programs to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency across our injection moulding operations.

This full-time role requires hands-on diagnostic and repair skills, leadership experience, and the ability to read schematics. You will mentor technicians, coordinate with production, and ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on maintenance in injection moulding or similar manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair injection moulding machines and hydraulic systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems used in injection moulding operations.
• Leadership experience supervising maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage preventative and corrective maintenance for injection moulding machines and related equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues early.
• Develop maintenance schedules and procedures to optimise performance and extend asset life.
• Supervise and mentor junior maintenance technicians with technical guidance.
• Coordinate with production to plan maintenance and minimise downtime.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation of all equipment servicing and repairs.
• Perform complex repairs and component replacements on injection moulding machines and hydraulic systems.
• Monitor equipment performance metrics and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations in the maintenance department.
• Liaise with suppliers and external specialists for specialized support.

About the role

PT Sefong Industries Batam is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Injection Molding professional to join our engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Batam, Riau Islands. As Senior Maintenance Injection Molding, you will take on a leadership role in maintaining and optimising our injection moulding equipment and systems. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring minimal downtime, maximising production efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of equipment performance across our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

Lead and manage preventative and corrective maintenance programmes for all injection moulding machines and associated equipment

Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics and troubleshooting of injection moulding systems to identify potential issues before they become critical

Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimise equipment performance and extend asset lifespan

Supervise and mentor junior maintenance technicians, providing technical guidance and training on best practices

Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance activities and minimise production interruptions

Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation of all equipment servicing and repairs

Perform complex repairs and component replacements on injection moulding machines and hydraulic systems

Monitor equipment performance metrics and recommend upgrades or replacements where necessary

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and health and safety standards in the maintenance department

Liaise with equipment suppliers and external specialists for specialised maintenance and technical support

What we're looking for

Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on maintenance experience in injection moulding or similar manufacturing environments

Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing injection moulding machines, hydraulic systems and related equipment

Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems used in injection moulding operations

Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to supervise and develop maintenance teams

Technical certification or qualification in mechanical maintenance, engineering or a related discipline

Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian (or local language)

Knowledge of safety protocols and experience implementing health and safety best practices

Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous
