Job summary

PT Sanwa Engineering Batam is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to support daily production activities, monitor output and quality, and drive improvements. The role requires leadership of supervisors, technicians, and operators, with a focus on meeting production plans and targets across injection molding operations.

The ideal candidate will have a engineering/manufacturing background, at least 5 years in manufacturing and 5+ years in a managerial role, with strong knowledge of injection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in plastic injection molding.
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial position (supervising a team/department).
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, production planning, and manufacturing operations.
• Good understanding of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, problem solving, and quality systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to work in Batam, Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in managing daily production activities and manpower.
• Monitor production output, efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.
• Ensure production targets are achieved according to the production plan.
• Supervise and coordinate production supervisors, technicians, operators, and material handlers.
• Monitor injection molding machines, production processes, and troubleshooting activities.
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity, cost reduction, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements.
• Analyze production problems and implement effective corrective actions.
• Coordinate with QA, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and HR departments.
• Prepare and monitor production reports, KPIs, and improvement activities.
