Pengiklan Anonim seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations in Batam. You will drive productivity, quality, cost efficiency and continuous improvement while developing people and strengthening overall operational performance.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing with 3–5 years in a similar position, plus leadership capabilities to build a high-performing team and report to senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience with 3–5 years in a similar leadership role.
• Experience in plastics, die casting, metal stamping or precision engineering is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of production management, processes, quality control, maintenance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations including production, process engineering, quality, maintenance and related support functions.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet output, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE, productivity, yield, scrap, downtime and on-time delivery.
• Optimize manpower, machine capacity, materials and production flow for efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and related teams to resolve issues.
• Drive 5S and continuous improvement to reduce waste and costs.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors, engineers and operators to build a high-performing team.
• Provide regular operational reports and recommendations to senior management.

Job description

Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Batam. This role will be responsible for driving productivity, quality, cost efficiency, continuous improvement and overall company performance. As a key member of the leadership team, you play a pivotal role in improving manufacturing performance, developing people and strengthening overall operational performance.

Key responsibilities

Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations, including production, process engineering, quality, maintenance and related support functions.

Develop and execute production plans to achieve output, quality, delivery and cost targets.

Monitor key manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, productivity, yield, scrap/rejection, downtime and on-time delivery.

Optimize manpower, machine capacity, materials and production flow to improve overall efficiency.

Work closely with Engineering Project, Quality, Maintenance, Customer Service and Toolroom teams to resolve quality and operational issues.

Drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, downtime and manufacturing costs.

Lead, coach and develop production supervisors, engineers and operators to build a high-performing and accountable team.

Provide regular operational reports and recommendations to senior management.

About you

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience with at least 3–5 years in the same role.

Experience in plastic injection molding, die casting, metal stamping or precision engineering will be an advantage.

Strong knowledge of production management, manufacturing processes, quality control, maintenance and continuous improvement.

Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high performing team.

Experience in RBA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF audit requirements.

Good analytical, communication and decision-making skills.

Willing to be based in Batam, Indonesia.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Production Manager position.
