Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing
• Deep knowledge of injection molding machines and processes
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
• Strong communication across levels
• Experience with production planning software and data analysis
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental standards
• Preferred certifications in quality, lean, or production leadership
• Fluency in English and Indonesian is advantageous

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Injection Molding Leader to join PT Sefong Industries Batam in a full-time capacity. Based in Batam, Riau Islands, this is a strategic leadership position within our manufacturing operations. As Injection Molding Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the injection molding department, ensuring optimal production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and leading a dedicated team to meet our operational objectives. This role is pivotal to the success of our manufacturing facility and plays a crucial part in delivering excellence to our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing daily operations of the injection molding department, including scheduling, resource allocation and production planning
• Leading, motivating and developing a team of injection molding operators and technicians to achieve departmental targets
• Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure all products meet specified standards and customer requirements
• Monitoring equipment performance, coordinating preventative maintenance and troubleshooting technical issues to minimise downtime
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across all injection molding operations
• Analysing production data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation
• Collaborating with other departments including quality assurance, production planning and senior management to support overall business objectives
• Training and coaching team members on best practices, standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Managing raw material inventory and ensuring efficient utilisation of resources

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in injection molding operations, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge of injection molding machines, processes, materials and quality control methodologies
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean production techniques and continuous improvement practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Proficiency in production planning software and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements in manufacturing
• Preferably, certification in relevant areas such as quality management, lean manufacturing or production leadership
• Fluency in English and Indonesian is advantageous
