Monroe Consulting Group, an executive recruitment firm, is partnering with a leading organisation in the Consumer sector to hire a Senior HR Manager. This opportunity is based in Bali, Indonesia. The role offers the opportunity to lead Human Resources and General Affairs operations, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and effective people management within a multinational environment.
Position Overview
Lead the end-to-end HR and General Affairs function, ensuring efficient people operations, regulatory compliance, and employee support.
Drive organisational effectiveness through strong HR governance, team leadership, process improvement, and the adoption of HR technology and AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll, employee benefits, BPJS, tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance, leave, and employee exits.
- Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters in line with Indonesian employment regulations.
- Prepare and maintain employment agreements and required HR documentation.
- Coordinate KITAS, manpower reporting, and other local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure HR practices remain aligned with current Indonesian labour, tax, and data protection regulations.
- Administer statutory payments, including THR and applicable PKWT compensation.
- Provide day-to-day HR guidance to employees and managers.
- Support the implementation of HR policies, processes, and people initiatives.
- Manage office administration, facilities, suppliers, leases, procurement, and employee logistics.
- Support workplace health and safety practices and incident reporting.
- Monitor HR and GA expenditure and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and manage costs.
- Supervise and develop junior HR or administrative team members.
- Leverage HR technology and AI tools to improve productivity and streamline processes.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8-10 years of relevant HR and General Affairs experience in Indonesia.
- Experience supporting an international or multi-location organisation is an advantage.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, or other operational environments is beneficial.
- Indonesian citizenship.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Strong background in payroll, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Good knowledge of Indonesian employment law, BPJS, taxation, and KITAS processes.
- Familiarity with HRIS/HRMS systems.
- Experience managing statutory requirements, employment documentation, and regulatory reporting.
Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies
- Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to provide HR guidance to employees and managers.
- Strong leadership capability with experience supervising and developing team members.
