Job summary

YSQ International Pte Ltd seeks an Engineering Manager with tobacco manufacturing experience to lead the maintenance of plants, equipment and facilities. You will report directly to the Factory General Manager and drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key duties include overseeing preventive maintenance, KPI development, budgeting, CAPEX, energy management, and collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in a manufacturing environment (tobacco or FMCG preferred).
• Experience with Six Sigma / 8D / FMEA processes.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and oversee maintenance of machinery, facilities and systems.
• Develop and implement KPI, manpower plans and budgets for the factory.
• Ensure testing, calibration, spare parts availability and equipment trials.
• Lead engineering projects and manage CAPEX investments.
• Drive energy and utility management for cost efficiency.
• Lead SHE programs and 6S in the department.
• Mentor and develop subordinates and manage stakeholder relationships.
