YSQ International Pte Ltd seeks an Engineering Manager with tobacco manufacturing experience to lead the maintenance of plants, equipment and facilities. You will report directly to the Factory General Manager and drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key duties include overseeing preventive maintenance, KPI development, budgeting, CAPEX, energy management, and collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams.
You shall report directly to the Factory General Manager. You will be responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing the maintenance of machineries, properties, facilities, equipment and mechanical systems to support operational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
Manage the maintenance, preventive maintenance plan, equipment operation and workforce planning for efficiency and cost reduction
Develop and implement Key Performance Indicator (KPI), manpower, budget and ensure alignment of the plans, objectives, and budgets of the factory plants, based on the overall manufacturing strategic planning and budgeting and marketing requirements
Ensure planning equipment testing and calibration, modification & installation, equipment trial for modifications, availability of all spare machinery material and manpower to ensure reliability equipment
Manage all engineering projects and resolve engineering problems
Manage the installation of new production equipment and assist in the commissioning of new equipment with vendors and engineering teams
Manage CAPEX investment and execution
Manage and control energy and utility consumption in factory to ensure continuity of utility supply with efficient cost
Develop and drive Department Key Performance Indicators and lead the personnel's performance analysis, give directions, and ensure continuous improvement activities through specific action plans to achieve the agreed KPI's
Organize, lead, and control the work of subordinates, motivate, and encourage their personal and professional development to ensure continuous and proper people development programs and manage human resources in the department
Lead the safety, health, and environmental (SHE) programs/policy implementation to ensure smooth running of the production activities and 6S aspects in the department
About you
Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in mechanical or electrical Engineering or other related Engineering
10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment (tobacco or FMCG preferred)
Experience in problem solving tools, understanding of key concepts of Six Sigma / 8D / FMEA processes is necessary
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Understand technical drawing, electrical wiring diagram and machine manual book
Strong analytical skills, forward thinking, and conceptual thinking
Capability to manage internal & external stakeholders
Advanced in Microsoft Excel skills
