The Assistant Production Manager will support the planning, execution, and control of daily production operations, ensuring targets for productivity, yield, quality, and efficiency are consistently achieved. This role requires a results-oriented leader capable of managing large-scale teams and driving continuous improvement across the production floor.
Plan production activities, including manpower, yield, quality, productivity, and efficiency, to achieve operational targets.
Lead and manage production teams to execute production plans and achieve operational and performance targets.
Enforce discipline, accountability, and performance management within the production team.
Collaborate cross-functionally with related departments (QA, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth production operations.
Monitor and analyze production data and manufacturing KPIs, including productivity, efficiency, yield, WIP, and quality control.
Prepare and report production performance to management on a regular basis.
Identify production issues and lead problem-solving and decision-making efforts to resolve them promptly.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing principles.
Coach and develop production teams based on performance evaluation and improvement needs.
Bachelor's degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a production/manufacturing managerial role, including at least 3 years as a Senior Supervisor, Middle Manager, or equivalent.
Experience managing production operations, preferably in the tobacco, cigar, FMCG, or other process manufacturing industries.
Proven experience in production planning, manpower, yield, quality, productivity, and efficiency management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs, including productivity, efficiency, yield, WIP (Work in Process), and quality control.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing and leading large-scale teams.
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Results-oriented, disciplined, and accountable, with the ability to work effectively in a target-driven and hands-on production environment. Good English communication skills.
