Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Analyst - Environmental Health and Safety to outline and implement training programs educating the workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures.

You will perform inspections, track and document accidents, prepare reports, and ensure compliance across facilities and processes, with broad knowledge of applicable regulations. The role requires effective communication and teamwork across diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in occupational health and safety or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in environmental, health and safety.
• Minimum of 1 year' experience in the mining/electrical/manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections to ensure EHS standards compliance.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Develop, implement, and enforce EHS programs and protocols.
• Knowledge of federal, provincial, state and local safety regulations, protocols, and procedures.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Develop company-specific EHS procedures and protocols.
• Investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
• Work effectively with diverse populations.
