Job summary

• Associate's degree in occupational health and safety or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in environmental, health and safety.
• Minimum of 1 year' experience in the mining/electrical/manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel clearly.
• Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Develop, implement, and enforce EHS programs and protocols.
• Apply knowledge of federal, provincial, state and local safety regulations.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Develop company-specific EHS procedures and protocols.
• Investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
