Job summary

CSS is seeking an Analyst - Environmental Health and Safety to outline and implement training programs, create educational materials, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role includes inspecting facilities, tracking accidents, and recommending corrective actions across mining, electrical, and manufacturing contexts.

You will develop and deliver materials such as videos, guides, and posters, and participate in training workplace safety officers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in occupational health and safety or related scientific or technical field required.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related scientific or technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in environmental, health and safety.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the mining/ electrical/ manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Skill in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with EHS standards.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Ability to develop, implement, and enforce EHS programs and protocols.
• Knowledge of federal, provincial, state and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or procedures.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skill in developing company specific EHS procedures and protocols.
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
