Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Analyst - Environmental Health and Safety to outline and implement training, develop materials, and track incidents. You will inspect facilities, analyze accidents, and recommend changes to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will participate in training safety officers and stay current with government and industry safety regulations. The role emphasizes strong communication, data gathering, and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in occupational health and safety or related scientific or technical field required.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in environmental, health and safety.
• Minimum of 1 year' experience in the mining/ electrical/ manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

• Skill in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with EHS standards.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Ability to develop, implement, and enforce EHS programs and protocols.
• Knowledge of federal, provincial, state and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or procedures.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skill in developing company specific EHS procedures and protocols.
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
