Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Analyst - Environmental Health and Safety to outline and implement training programs on work safety and environmental safety, and to develop educational materials. The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree in EHS fields and 2+ years of EHS experience, including mining/electrical/manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in occupational health and safety or related scientific or technical field required.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related scientific or technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections ensuring compliance with EHS standards.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Develop, implement, and enforce EHS programs and protocols.
• Knowledge of federal, provincial, state and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or procedures.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Develop company specific EHS procedures and protocols.
• Investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
• Work effectively with diverse populations.
