Job summary

Ruangguru is seeking a Senior Academic Advisor to support students’ academic journeys in a remote-first setup, conceptually based in Bogor, West Java. You will guide course selection, plan for careers, and monitor progress while collaborating with faculty and campus resources.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, or Higher Education Administration and has at least 5 years of advising experience, with strong communication and organizational skills for remote work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic advising or student support in higher education.
• Proficiency with student information systems (SIS) and advising technologies.
• Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic advising regarding course selection, program requirements, and academic planning.
• Monitor academic progress and implement intervention strategies as needed.
• Guide students in understanding university policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist students in exploring career options and connecting them with resources.
• Facilitate workshops and information sessions on study skills and career exploration.
• Maintain confidential student records in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with faculty and support services to ensure holistic student development.
• Serve as primary contact for students in a remote learning environment.
