Job summary

Aditya Birla Yarn in Indonesia seeks a Senior Export-Import Operations leader to arrange logistics support, supervise export staff, and ensure compliance with LC terms for bulk yarn shipments.

You will coordinate with PPIC, shipping lines, and forwarders, optimize container space, and drive cost-efficient freight while maintaining strict documentation control and accuracy.

Qualifications

• English is a must.
• 10+ years in Export-Import Operations, Logistics, or SCM in yarn manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing export staff and docs.
• Experience handling bulk shipments and container optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of textile classifications for yarns (cotton, synthetic, wool, blended).
• Experience with LC terms and preventing bank discrepancies.
• Familiarity with export compliance, customs procedures, and bonded zones.
• Coordinate with PPIC to align production with shipping schedules.
• Strong negotiation with shipping lines and forwarders for space and rates.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills; SAP SD/MM or textile ERPs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and send shipping instructions to shipping company for vessel space booking.
• Coordinate and send shipping instructions to freight forwarder and other agencies.
• Communicate with customs for Export Declarations (PEB).
• Prepare and send EPO to internal customers for special requests.
• Create Invoice, Packing List, and PEB for customs.
• Manage post-shipment documents and records.

Profile Requirements

• English Speaking is a must
• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Trade or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience in Export-Import Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations in Yarn Manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing a team of export staff, documentation officers; Demonstrated leadership skills
• Proven experience in handling bulk commodity shipments and container optimization I
• n-depth knowledge of textile classification for cotton, synthetic, wool, or blended yarns.
• Strong capability in scrutinizing, verifying, and executing export documentation strictly complying with L/C terms to prevent bank discrepancies
• Familiarity with local export compliance, customs procedures, and special schemes such as Bonded Zone (Kawasan Berikat) facilities commonly used by textile mills.
• Ability to coordinate closely with the spinning mill production planning control (PPIC) department to match yarn production schedules with shipping vessel schedules.
• Strong negotiation skills with shipping lines and freight forwarders to secure space and competitive freight rates for heavy yarn shipments.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills to track container dispatch logs, lead times, and export rebate claims. Proficiency in SAP (specifically SD/MM modules) or textile-specific ERPs for processing shipping documents and order allocations

Job Purpose

To arrange logistics support and ensure timely dispatches, dispatches, preparation of pre shipment, post shipment documents, finalization and sales accounting. To support customer information and conduct price analysis, generate market information and supplement market activities in unit ILT.

Job Description
