Job summary

Meratus Group is seeking an experienced Operation Staff to oversee sea freight logistics, manage cargo from origin to destination, and supervise the operations team in Surabaya. The role focuses on coordinating with stakeholders, optimizing processes, and resolving issues to ensure timely shipments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years of sea freight experience, with strong leadership and compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sea freight logistics is preferred.
• Demonstrated operational leadership in sea freight activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily sea freight activities including cargo handling, loading, unloading, and storage.
• Lead and mentor the sea freight operations team, provide training and evaluations.
• Implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Address delays, documentation errors, and cargo handling issues; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners for seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international sea freight regulations and standards.
• Prepare and analyze operational performance reports and provide insights.
