Job summary

Middy’s Electrical is seeking a Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, nurture new business opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships within the electrical wholesale sector. You will lead a hands-on sales effort, support the team, and focus on achieving gross profit targets while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role suits an experienced sales professional with strong commercial acumen, CRM experience, and a proactive, independent work style.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical wholesale industry.
Proven experience in sales, business development or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
A proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Strong commercial awareness, including an understanding of margin and gross profit.
Experience using CRM systems to manage customer accounts and sales activity.
The ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
A valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

Drive sales growth and achieve revenue and gross profit targets.
Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Grow existing customer accounts and identify opportunities for further business.
Prepare, manage and follow up customer quotes to maximise sales opportunities.
Monitor sales activity and identify opportunities for growth.
Promote Middy’s products and services and provide customers with solutions suited to their needs.
Maintain strong industry, market and product knowledge.
Work closely with the Branch Manager and sales team to achieve business objectives.
Support customer events, promotions and other customer engagement activities.
Work collaboratively with sales and operations teams to support excellent customer service.
Contribute to meetings, business improvement initiatives and team activities.
Maintain high standards of compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
