PT YES Logistics Indonesia seeks a target-driven Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding to grow international freight forwarding sales and manage relationships with customers. The role emphasizes securing export/import shipments and expanding in domestic logistics where applicable.

You will engage with prospective clients, conduct visits, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and close deals while maintaining an active sales pipeline and meeting revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any field.
• 2+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics sales.
• Proven ability to generate recurring freight business and hit sales targets.

About the Role

We are looking for a target-driven Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding to develop new business and maintain relationships with existing customers.

The main focus of this position is to generate sales for international freight forwarding services, particularly export and import shipments. Experience in domestic logistics sales is also welcomed.

The ideal candidate has experience in freight forwarding sales, understands customers' logistics requirements, and is comfortable actively approaching prospective customers, conducting customer visits, preparing quotations, negotiating, and closing deals.

Job Responsibilities

Develop freight forwarding business through an established customer network and existing industry relationships.

Maintain and grow recurring business from customers with regular export, import, and/or domestic shipment requirements.

Identify additional business opportunities from both existing relationships and new prospective customers.

Develop sales opportunities for Sea Freight, Air Freight, and other logistics services, including domestic shipments where applicable.

Conduct regular customer visits, sales presentations, and relationship-building activities.

Understand customers' shipping requirements and provide suitable logistics solutions.

Prepare and follow up on rate quotations in coordination with Pricing, Operations, vendors, and other related teams.

Negotiate rates and commercial terms with customers and follow up opportunities until closing.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover and execution of shipments.

Achieve individual sales, revenue, and/or gross profit targets set by the company.

Maintain an active sales pipeline and submit regular sales activity and performance reports to management.

Monitor market conditions, customer requirements, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.

Represent the company at customer meetings, networking events, or exhibitions when required.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Sales within the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry.

Strong existing customer network and established relationships with companies that have regular freight forwarding requirements.

Proven track record of generating recurring freight business and achieving sales targets.

Experience handling sales for Export and Import shipments is highly preferred; domestic logistics sales experience is also welcomed.

Good understanding of Sea Freight and/or Air Freight services, as well as Trucking for Domestic services.

Basic understanding of Incoterms, export-import processes, customs clearance, trucking, and related logistics services.

Able to independently manage customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close sales.

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Target-oriented, proactive, and commercially driven.

Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Willing to conduct regular customer visits and be based at the Surabaya office.
