Job summary

PT Chateraise Gobel Indonesia is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive store expansion across Jakarta and beyond. You will lead site acquisition, feasibility analyses, and negotiations with landlords, while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely openings.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in business or retail development, with strong analytical and leadership skills, and a proven track record in high-stakes negotiations and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or retail development.
• Experience in F&B, retail, FMCG highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of site acquisition, market analysis, lease negotiation, and store expansion processes.
• Proven experience negotiating with landlords, mall management, and property developers.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing to travel for business trips as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to support the company's growth objectives
• Identify, evaluate, and secure potential locations for new store openings through market research and feasibility analysis
• Conduct site visits, demographic studies, and competitor analysis to assess business potential
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, mall management, property developers, and other business partners
• Lead lease negotiations and coordinate administrative processes related to rental agreements and business partnerships
• Manage the end-to-end new store opening process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Project teams to ensure smooth execution of expansion projects
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and provide effective solutions to support business objectives
• Prepare business proposals, expansion reports, and presentations for management
• Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development team to achieve departmental goals
