About the role

Maju Operations and Development (Kult Cafe & Shop) is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our hospitality team based in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This is a contract position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic restaurant operation in one of Indonesia's most popular tourist destinations. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role is pivotal to the success of our establishment and directly contributes to the overall objectives of Maju Operations and Development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including service, food preparation, and kitchen management
• Manage and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and company policies
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards to maintain consistent excellence
• Control food and beverage costs whilst maintaining profitability and managing inventory effectively
• Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and optimise operational efficiency
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
• Maintain accurate records including sales reports, staff timesheets, and inventory logs
• Create a positive and professional working environment that promotes teamwork and excellence

What we’re looking for

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar senior management role within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage service standards, and hospitality best practices
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue management
• Outstanding customer service orientation and the ability to handle complaints professionally and diplomatically
• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian or other local languages is advantageous
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Previous experience in a tourist destination or resort environment would be beneficial
