Job summary

PT Hormel Pronas Nusantara seeks an R&D Supervisor to supervise and execute product development, trials, and documentation for processed-meat products. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, QA, and Procurement to translate concepts into consistent factory execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Food Technology/Meat Science and at least 3 years in food R&D or related fields, with experience in meat products and lab coordination preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in food R&D, product development, or food processing.
• Experience with meat products and laboratory or pilot plant coordination is preferred.
• Experience supporting factory trials, sensory evaluation, and technical recordkeeping is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trial formulations and samples according to approved development plans.
• Conduct bench and pilot trials; record conditions, observations, yield and quality.
• Organize sensory evaluations and compile results for decisions.
• Coordinate trial prep with Production, Engineering, QA, and Procurement.
• Monitor process parameters and report deviations during trials.
• Support root-cause analysis and repeat trials as directed.
• Prepare draft manufacturing instructions and training materials.
• Maintain trial reports, formulations, and sample traceability.
• Support shelf-life studies and packaging trials using approved protocols.
• Track trial materials, sample inventory, deadlines, and expenditure.
