Job summary

RGF HR Agent Indonesia is seeking an R&D Supervisor for a Food Manufacturing client. You will lead product development from concept through scale-up, conduct shelf-life studies, and work with QA/production teams to meet regulatory and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Food Technology, 2+ years in food product development supervision (preferably with Japanese manufacturers), and experience with BPOM and Halal registrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field.
• High conversational level of English.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Supervisor in food product development within Japanese manufacturing companies.
• Experience handling BPOM and Halal registration.
• Strong knowledge of food processing, ingredient functionality, and product development methodologies.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop innovative food products that meet consumer preferences and market trends.
• Formulate and test new recipes, adjusting ingredients and processing techniques to improve product quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze product performance and sensory attributes through rigorous testing and evaluation.
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure successful scale-up of new products.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support the development of product packaging and labeling to align with marketing strategies.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues related to product formulation or processing.
• Conduct shelf-life studies and stability testing for new products.
• Coordinate with suppliers for new ingredient sourcing and evaluation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
