Job summary

PT Pawon Sentra Tama is seeking an R&D Supervisor to lead product development across retort, ready-to-eat, crispy snacks, sauces, and seasonings. You will guide projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring scale-up and robust food safety.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in food science/technology/engineering, with at least 5 years in development and 2 in supervision, plus strong leadership and English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food product development, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience developing and commercializing products in retort, ready-to-eat, snacks, sauces, and seasonings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and commercialize products in retort foods, ready-to-eat meals, crispy baked snacks, sauces/dressings/condiments, and seasoning powders.
• Scale up products from laboratory and pilot plant to commercial production.
• Apply knowledge of thermal processing, retort sterilization, shelf-life evaluation, and food preservation technologies.
• Conduct food formulation, ingredient functionality analysis, and cost optimization.
• Optimize texture, flavor, and sensory characteristics for snack and convenience foods.
• Evaluate packaging technologies including retort pouches, trays, cups, and flexible packaging systems.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, and FDA requirements.
• Conduct product benchmarking, competitor analysis, and market trend assessment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage multiple product development projects simultaneously and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
