Job summary

PT Flextronics Technology Indonesia in Batam is seeking a Quality Engineer to own product quality across the full life cycle and to support SpinCo after the planned spin-off in Q1 2027. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will develop quality plans, participate in PFMEA, lead RCCA actions, and drive continuous improvement with advanced quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Own quality for the full life cycle of the assigned family.
• Lead yield and claims improvements using QCC across the product life cycle.
• Develop and implement quality control plans.
• Support PFMEA reviews and producibility assessments.
• Drive cross-functional RCCA actions and track resolutions.
• Lead QCC meetings and escalate quality alarms as needed.

Job description

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Batam.

Reporting to the Quality Manager the Quality Engineer role involves.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for the product quality for whole life cycle of assigned family

Lead yield and claim improvement by using QCC through all product life circle, secure and align quality control level

Responsible for quality control plan, prepare/update/implement quality plan

Quality activities on TPI Projects or PCN /2nd source as request, participate PFMEA, and producibility report review

Drive cross function team for RCCA, and follow up, for TPI, Mass production, RMA etc

Hold and manager QCC meeting (Meeting/Reporting/Action follow up)

Escalation points for quality alarm

Be responsible to elevate higher level while observing the corrective actions were not effectively conducted

Introduce advanced Quality Tools to improve Quality management efficiency and capability

Support internal audit

About you

Bachelor with 5 years quality work experience or technical college education with 8 years quality engineering work experience

Good knowledge on Lean and six sigma

Good knowledge on Quality Tools

Understanding of ISO 9000-14000

Good computer skills (master on PPT and excel skill)

Fluent oral and written English

Ability to work independently with long- and short-term quality improvements

Good communications skills and willingness to be present in the flow in the product workshop

Strong analytical ability and a natural structural inclination
