PT Flextronics Technology Indonesia invites applications for an Engineering Manager based in Batam to lead manufacturing engineering across SMT, Backend Assembly, Test, and Product Failure Analysis. This role supports SpinCo’s launch and emphasizes process optimization, equipment handling, and cross-functional collaboration.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in engineering and 8+ years in electronics manufacturing, with strong Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and proficient English communication.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical / manufacturing / process / engineering.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in electronics industry.
• Familiar with SMA & Assembly, Test processes and equipment.
• Deep understanding of related manufacturing-technology processes.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Digitalization.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma.
• Knowledge of Industrial Standard is a plus.
• Strong drive ability and collaboration skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Good communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle manufacturing process and equipment for MP
• Drive SPI/AOI/AXI optimization in SMT
• Lead Backend Assembly automation with high efficiency and quality
• Oversee Test activities including Firmware download, Electrical function test, Burn in, TC
• Conduct Product Failure Analysis with on-time analysis and rework, with responsibility for equipment, process development, yield improvement, and manufacturing quality
• Build Machine Capacity and capability to meet Customer and product Requirement
• Receive TPI products from test run to Qualified MP, with efficiency and quality
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by cross-functional collaboration
• Guide and train engineers and technician with solid team work spirit
• Lead assigned projects and project teams to meet predefined targets

Job description

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

The Engineering Manager will be based in Batam and will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. The role involves handling manufacturing process and equipment, leading engineering activities across multiple domains including SMT, Backend Assembly, Test, and Product Failure Analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Handle manufacturing process and equipment for MP

About you

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical / manufacturing/ process/ engineering
• At least 8 years or above Manufacturing engineering experience with proven track record in Engineering and Manufacturing in Electronics industry
• Familiar with SMA & Assembly, Test processes and equipment
• Deep understanding of related and advanced manufacturing-technology processes
• Good knowledge of Industrial 4.0 and Digitalization
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma
• Good knowledge on Industrial Standard is a plus
• Strong drive ability and collaboration skills
• Command good written and spoken English
• Good communication and leadership skills
