Job summary

PT Flextronics Technology Indonesia is seeking a Test Engineer based in Batam to support SpinCo, the upcoming standalone company focused on digital infrastructure for AI data centers. You will maintain test processes for transfer and mass production, provide daily test engineering support to production, drive OEE improvements, and contribute to lean initiatives with PLC and automation know‑how.

The role requires at least 5 years of power electrical test experience and strong English

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of power electrical related test experience.
• Experience with FCT and test fixture design.
• Proficient in analog testing (voltage, current).
• Ability to use English as working language.

Responsibilities

• Maintain test processes for Transfer Product Introduction and Mass Production, including PFMEA and Gage R&R in new test station setup.
• Provide daily test engineering support to production.
• Define and standardize test process controls and working instructions.
• Drive Test Yield and RCCA improvements.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for test production.
• Introduce automation technology (PLC, cobots) to achieve manufacturing excellence.
• Lead lean projects to improve production efficiency.
• Provide staff training on working instructions and build multi-skill resources.

Job description

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

The Test Engineer will be based in Batam and will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

Key responsibilities

Maintain Test process for Transfer Product Introduction and Mass Production, including PFMEA and Gage R&R preparation in new test station setup

Provide daily Test engineering support to production

Define and routine process control of Test Process, create working instructions to guide and standard operations in Test processes

Test Yield improvement by actively involved in Quality Improvement and RCCA

Drive improvement of OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) for increasing of Test output continuously

Introduce advanced manufacturing technology (Automatic robot, PLC, data Analysis) into Test production to achieve manufacturing excellence

Drive lean project to improve production efficiency

Provide staff training to fulfill the working instructions, and help manufacturing lines to build up multi-skill pool resource

About you

At least 5 years Power electrical related test experience (test solution develop include hardware or software)

Have strong experience about FCT, test fixture related design

Be skilled in the analog test, like voltage, current, etc.

Be able to use English as working language

Be able to bear high work pressure

Good interpersonal and communication skills and team-working

Good MSA, Gage R&R knowledge

Good Lean and six sigma knowledge

Automation experience (PLC, Cobot)

Basic C++ programming competence
