Job summary

Flex is seeking a Quality Engineer in Batam, Indonesia to oversee product quality across the lifecycle within a dynamic manufacturing setting. You will lead quality planning, drive RCCA actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure defect containment and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality engineering or related field, or a technical college with substantial experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with ISO 9000/14000 standards.
• Proficient in quality tools and data analysis.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the product quality for whole life cycle of assigned family.
• Lead yield and claim improvement by using QCC through all product life cycle, secure and align quality control level.
• Responsible for quality control plan, prepare/update/implement quality plan
• Quality activities on TPI Projects or PCN /2nd source as request, participate PFMEA, and producibility report review.
• Drive cross function team for RCCA, and follow up, for TPI, Mass production, RMA etc
• Hold and manager QCC meeting (Meeting/Reporting/Action follow up)
• Escalation points for quality alarm
• Be responsible to elevate higher level while observing the corrective actions were not effectively conducted.
• Introduce advanced Quality Tools to improve Quality management efficiency and capability.
• Support internal audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor with 5 years quality work experience or technical college education with 8 years quality engineering work experience.
• Good knowledge on Lean and six sigma
• Good knowledge on Quality Tools
• Understanding of ISO 9000-14000
• Good computer skills (master on PPT and excel skill).
• Fluent oral and written English.
• Ability to work independently with long- and short-term quality improvements
• Good communications skills and willingness to be present in the flow in the product workshop
• Strong analytical ability and a natural structural inclination
