Job summary

Flex is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function in Batam, Indonesia. You will establish and maintain the Quality Management System, oversee production, customer, and supplier quality, and drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma and Kaizen.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and at least 8 years in quality systems. You will interact with customers and internal teams to ensure compliance and product excellence in a dynamic

Responsibilities

• Researches and presents information on production capabilities and quality concerns.
• Contributes to policies and procedures in quality management.
• Develops and maintains quality assurance programs and controls.
• Interfaces with customers on technical/quality issues and audits.
• Setup and maintain Quality Management System and document control.
• Lead RCCA and drive improvements using Six Sigma and Kaizen.
• Oversee incoming inspection, material quality, and internal audits.
• Promote quality awareness throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Researches, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.
• Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
• Contributes with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals.
• Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of control, personnel requirements and operational procedures within program.
• Evaluates contents of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with top management personnel preparatory to formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program.
• Conducts management meetings with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish controls and procedures for attaining goals.

• Reviewe Quality problems and procedures of departments, Drive Team for RCCA and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
• Setup Incoming Inspection and Material Quality Management procedure
• Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives. 8D report knowledge.
• In charge of managing customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits.
• Quality Feedback by Conferring with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.
• Quality and Yield improvement by Kaizen, Six Sigma, Advanced quality tools and Digitalization.
• ISO Quality Management System Training and document control and support Internal quality system audit
• Participate in Quality System planning, development, maintaining and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience developing, implementing and maintaining quality systems or related area.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Quality Analysis Tools, Six Sigma
• Good knowledge of Digitalization Quality management mindset and experience
• Good knowledge on Industrial Standard is a plus.
• Good understanding of quality management systems.
• Detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Have people management experience been in similar position.
• Good English communication in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
