Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to base in Batam. You will lead failure analysis for in-house production and support transferred new products, driving root-cause investigations using advanced tools.

You will develop failure analysis and repair processes, report repair rates and metrics, and provide technical support to troubleshooters, operators, and technicians. Familiarity with Six Sigma and statistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electronics engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in failure analysis in electronics or semiconductor industries.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and test methods.
• Proficiency with advanced electronic testing systems for hardware failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead failure analysis for in-house production and manufacturing processes as required.
• Provide failure analysis support for transferred new products.
• Develop failure analysis and repair processes and procedures using advanced tools.
• Ensure timely completion of failure analysis and repairs aligned with production orders.
• Report repair rates and related metrics.
• Offer technical support to troubleshooters, repair technicians, and operators.
• Participate in quality improvement teams to drive failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Analyze products failing in production to identify faults using statistics tools.
• Report critical quality problems found on the production site.

The Senior Failure Analysis Engineer will be based in Batam.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of failure analysis for in‑house production and in manufacturing process as request.
• Provide failure analysis support to Transferred New product.
• Develop Failure Analysis and repair Process and procedure by using advanced tools
• Timely finish failure analysis and repair in align with production order closure
• Report on Repair rate and related TML
• Provide technical support to trouble shooters /Repair Technician/Operators
• Be the member of Quality Improvement team, to drive the failure analysis and find the root cause of critical issues.
• Analyse the products that failed in production and figure out faults using statistics tools
• Report critical quality problems found in production site.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or above in electronics engineering or relevant.
• At least 5 years relevant working experience focus on failure analysis, within electronics industry or semiconductor industry.
• Familiar with manufacturing process and test methods.
• Good at utilizing advanced electronic systems used in the testing of power products for hardware failure analysis.
• Capable of providing basic electronic trouble shooting skills, especially in problems between test software and hardware.
• Basic knowledge of 6 sigma and statistics tools, yellow‑belt preferable.
• Fluent English in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
• Good communication skills.
