Job summary

PT NEW CORAL SEA in Jakarta, Indonesia, seeks a purchasing leader to manage the full purchasing lifecycle for local and international procurement. You will source and develop suppliers, compare quotations, place orders, inspect goods, and follow up on payments.

You will develop plans for categories like instant film and cameras, expand supplier networks, and align with management and Finance on costs, lead times, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in International Trade, Business, Purchasing, Logistics or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or trade procurement with team management.
• Experience in e-commerce or cross-border trade procurement preferred.
• Experience working with Chinese companies or purchasing via Chinese platforms is an advantage.
• Fluent in Mandarin (HSK 5) with native-level Indonesian.
• Strong skills in supplier development, negotiation and cost control.
• Strong planning, execution, communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall purchasing process for local and international procurement including sourcing, quotation comparison, sample confirmation, purchase orders, goods inspection and payment follow-up.
• Procure for key product categories (instant film/polaroid film, cameras, and core products) and expand local supplier networks.
• Develop purchasing plans and targets (monthly/quarterly) and analyze costs, lead times, inventory and performance.
• Coordinate with company management, providing updates on progress, cost changes, risks, and improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance on settlements, cost calculations and cross-border payments.
• Coordinate with customers and warehouses (incl. China, Hong Kong, SK) and translate order requirements into plans.
• Monitor inventory and logistics costs to optimize purchasing lead times and cost efficiency.

Job Description

Manage the overall purchasing process, covering both local and international procurement, including supplier sourcing and development, quotation and price comparison, sample confirmation, purchase orders, goods inspection, and payment follow-up.

Manage procurement for key product categories, particularly instant film/polaroid film, cameras, and other core products. Develop and maintain local supplier networks in Indonesia and continuously expand supplier resources for new trading categories.

Develop purchasing plans and targets, including monthly and quarterly purchasing plans and team performance targets. Prepare analysis of purchasing costs, lead times, inventory, and overall purchasing performance.

Coordinate with company management and provide regular updates on purchasing progress, cost changes, supply risks, and improvement recommendations.

Coordinate with the Finance team on purchasing settlements, cost calculations, fund arrangements, and cross-border payment matters.

Coordinate with customers and warehouses, including customers from China, Hong Kong, and South Korea, and translate order requirements into appropriate purchasing plans.

Optimize purchasing processes by monitoring inventory and logistics costs and improving purchasing lead times and cost efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in International Trade, Business, Purchasing, Logistics, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or trade procurement, with team management experience. Strong understanding of the full purchasing process, from sourcing and price comparison to ordering, inspection, and payment.

Experience in e-commerce or cross-border trade procurement is preferred. Experience working with Chinese companies or purchasing through Chinese e-commerce platforms is an advantage.

Fluent in Mandarin, minimum HSK 5, with native-level Indonesian. Able to communicate effectively and smoothly with Mandarin-speaking management.

Strong skills in supplier development and management, negotiation, and cost control.

Strong planning, execution, communication, and coordination skills, with a responsible and detail-oriented working attitude.
