Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an Overseas Procurement Manager based in China to drive strategic sourcing, expand vendor relationships, and deliver measurable cost savings in IDR for the Indonesia headquarters.

You will coordinate cross-border procurement of machinery, equipment, and materials, conduct factory audits, and monitor market dynamics to inform executive decisions. Native Indonesian and Mandarin fluency are mandatory, with English as a working language.

Qualifications

• Indonesian citizen currently residing and working in mainland China.
• Minimum 5 years of international procurement/strategic sourcing or supply chain management experience.
• Fluent in Indonesian and Mandarin; English working knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Expansion: manage procurement for production machinery, equipment, raw materials and other needs mainly in building materials.
• Financial Impact & Cost Analysis: analyze pricing, perform cost-benefit evaluations, quantify cost savings in IDR for leadership reporting.
• On-Site Supplier & Quality Management: conduct factory visits, meetings, and supplier audits across key Chinese hubs to assess capacity, quality and compliance.
• Market & Intelligence Gathering: monitor raw material pricing and supplier landscapes in China to provide real-time insights to leadership.
• Cross-Border Coordination: act as the local representative in China to align timelines and resolve issues between suppliers and the Indonesian headquarters.

We are seeking a results-driven Overseas Procurement Manager based in China to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, build direct vendor relationships, and optimize cost structures. This role acts as a strategic liaison between mainland Chinese suppliers and our Indonesia headquarters, focusing on sourcing cost-effective alternative suppliers and delivering quantifiable financial impact to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Expansion: Manage the procurement process for production machineries, equipments, raw materials, products and other operational needs mainly related to building materials industry.
• Financial Impact & Cost Analysis: Analyze pricing models, perform cost-benefit evaluations, and directly quantify cost savings into measurable Rupiah (IDR) financial impact for executive reporting.
• On-Site Supplier & Quality Management: Conduct frequent factory visits, face-to-face meetings, and supplier audits across key manufacturing hubs in China to assess production capacity, quality control, and compliance.
• Market & Intelligence Gathering: Monitor raw material pricing, supplier landscapes, and market dynamics within China to provide strategic, real-time insights to executive leadership.
• Cross-Border Coordination: Serve as the primary local representative in China to bridge communication, align project timelines, and resolve operational roadblocks between suppliers and the Indonesian headquarters.

Requirements:

• Nationality & Location: Indonesian citizen currently residing and working in mainland China.
• Experience: minimum 5 years of solid experience in international procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management; experience in manufacturing, building materials, chemicals, machinery/equipment, or related industries is preferred.
• Language Skills: Native-level Indonesian and professional fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) are mandatory. Working knowledge of English is required.
• Core Competencies: Strong commercial negotiation skills, financial acumen (cost analysis/ROI tracking), and hands-on experience in supplier factory auditing.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently within major industrial cities across China.
