Job summary

PT Langgeng Dunia Selaras, a progressive FnB bakery restaurant operator based in Surabaya, East Java, seeks a Public Relations professional on a contract basis to lead our communications strategy and brand voice.

The role focuses on building media relations, creating press materials, and coordinating events to amplify brand reach and reputation in the competitive FnB sector. Strong Indonesian and English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, or marketing communications.
• Strong understanding of the FnB and bakery industry, including market trends and competition.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Indonesian and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive public relations and communications strategies aligned with the bakery restaurant's brand identity and business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, journalists, and influencers to secure positive media coverage and brand visibility.
• Create and disseminate press releases, media kits, and other communications materials that effectively communicate company news, product launches, and special events.
• Manage social media presence and coordinate digital communications campaigns to engage with customers and build community around the brand.
• Coordinate and execute events, product launches, and promotional activities that enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.
• Monitor media coverage and public perception, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
• Respond to media enquiries and manage crisis communications to protect and promote the company's reputation.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across all communications channels.
• Develop relationships with food bloggers, industry influencers, and local community organisations to amplify brand reach within the FnB sector.

About the role

PT Langgeng Dunia Selaras is seeking a Public Relations FnB Brownbear Bakery Restaurant professional to join our team on a contract basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our public relations and corporate communications strategy for our Food and Beverage bakery restaurant operations based in Surabaya, East Java. In this role, you will be the voice of our brand, responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with media, stakeholders, and the public whilst enhancing our reputation within the competitive FnB and bakery sector.

Key responsibilities

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, or marketing communications, preferably within the hospitality, food and beverage, or retail sectors
• Strong understanding of the FnB and bakery industry, including market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Indonesian and English
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective PR campaigns and communications strategies
• Proficiency in social media management and digital communications platforms
• Strong media relations skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
• Experience in event coordination and brand activation activities
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to address communications challenges
• Knowledge of crisis management and reputation management best practices
• Familiarity with PR tools and analytics platforms is advantageous
