Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Operations, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of marine operations experience (tug/barge, towing, logistics, offshore construction, heavy-lift transport).
• Minimum 3 years in supervisory or leadership roles (Marine Superintendent, Port Captain, Barge/Tug Supervisor).
• Strong background in handling heavy deck cargo, offshore modules, and high-value project cargo.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, kick-off meetings, and scope interpretation.
• Coordinate tug and barge operations including towing, berthing, loading/unloading, and marine logistics.
• Review and implement approved towing, voyage, mooring, ballast, and cargo stowage plans.
• Ensure vessels meet certification, crew, and equipment requirements before operations.
• Supervise barge positioning, towing configurations, mooring arrangements, and cargo security.
• Monitor weather, tides, and environmental conditions against operating limits.
• Conduct toolbox talks, emergency drills, and marine coordination meetings.

Roll Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead tug and barge operations for the complex Projects. This role is critical in ensuring the safe transport, positioning, and marine logistics of oversized and heavy cargo across offshore, port, and major infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead project planning, kick-off meetings, and scope interpretation.

• Ensure vessels meet certification, crew, and equipment requirements before operations.

• Monitor weather, tides, and environmental conditions against operating limits.
• Conduct toolbox talks, emergency drills, and marine coordination meetings.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and incident documentation.
• Coach and develop team members, aligning department goals with company strategy.
• Support cost control, scheduling, supplier coordination, and lessons-learned reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Operations, or related discipline (equivalent senior experience considered).
• 7–10 years of relevant marine operations experience (tug/barge, towing, logistics, offshore construction, heavy-lift transport).
• Minimum 3 years in supervisory or leadership roles (Marine Superintendent, Port Captain, Barge/Tug Supervisor, etc.).
• Strong background in handling heavy deck cargo, offshore modules, and high-value project cargo.
• Proven leadership, safety awareness, and operational discipline.
