Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Oversee plastic and composite production processes, including extrusion and CNC machining.
• Ensure optimal use of machines, manpower, materials, and tools.
• Monitor extrusion parameters, material flow, temperatures, and output.
• Coordinate with PPIC, Engineering, QA, Maintenance, and Warehouse.
• Track performance metrics like downtime, scrap, yield, and productivity.
• Coach operators and technicians toward safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement through 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and optimization.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and oversee daily production activities in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on plastic and composite manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards, while optimizing manpower, machinery, materials, and production processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with extrusion machines and CNC machining, understands production planning and process control, and is capable of leading production teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved
• Oversee production processes involving plastic and composite materials, including extrusion and CNC machining operations
• Ensure machines, equipment, manpower, and materials are properly prepared and utilized to support production requirements
• Monitor and control extrusion machine operations, including process parameters, material feeding, temperature, speed, and product output
• Oversee CNC machining operations, ensuring proper machine setup, tooling, production parameters, and adherence to approved specifications
• Coordinate with PPIC, Engineering, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Warehouse to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production
• Monitor production performance, machine utilization, downtime, scrap, yield, and productivity
• Identify production issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime, defects, and production losses
• Lead, coach, and evaluate production operators and technicians to achieve productivity, quality, and safety targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, productivity improvement, and process optimization

About you

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Polymer/Materials Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar production leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience and strong understanding of extrusion processes and extrusion machinery
• Experience with CNC machines and machining processes, including basic understanding of machine setup, tooling, parameters, and production control
• Strong understanding of production processes, machine utilization, production planning, quality control, and manufacturing KPIs
• Strong knowledge of K3, machine safety, 5S, and manufacturing SOPs
• Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to supervise operators and technicians
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in addressing machine, process, and production issues
• Strong cross‑functional communication skills and ability to work closely with PPIC, Engineering, Maintenance, QC, Warehouse, and other departments
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
