Job summary

PT Flextronics Technology Indonesia in Batam is seeking a Production Planner to convert the master production plan into executable schedules and drive on-time delivery across functions.

You will coordinate with Material Planners, Buyers, Engineering and Operations to balance demand, capacity, inventory and efficiency, maintaining daily, weekly schedules and monitoring performance against plan in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, semiconductors, or high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, BAAN, LN, Kinaxis, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and cross functions collaboration.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly production schedules based on master plan, capacity, and material availability.
• Work closely with Material Planners and Buyers to ensure material availability for scheduled production.
• Release and manage production work orders (WO) and ensure timely execution by operation.
• Monitor schedule adherence, track daily production output and WIP status and production performance against plan and identify deviations. Coordinate recovery plans when production falls behind schedule.
• Adjust production schedules to accommodate changes in demand, material shortages, equipment downtime, and manufacturing priorities.
• Coordinate production plan adjustments in response to engineering changes and capacity constraints.
• Conduct regular production reviews with operation teams to identify schedule risks and bottlenecks and escalated issues impacting customer deliveries.
• Prepare and maintain production planning reports and performance metrics.
• Support implementation of planning process improvements and system enhancements.
• Support implementation of new products (NPI) and TPI projects.

Job description

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

The Production Planner is responsible for converting the master production plan into executable production schedules, coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure production targets are achieved, and driving rapid resolution of issues impacting production output, delivery commitments, and operational efficiency and support on-time delivery to customers. This role serves as a key interface among Master Plan, Materials Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Program Management, Warehouse, and Production teams to balance customer requirements, production capacity, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
