Flex is hiring an Industrial Engineering Manager in Batam to lead a team of engineers and technicians, driving labor standards and productivity improvements across manufacturing processes.

You will oversee work measurement, facility layout, and production scheduling; drive Kaizen/Lean initiatives, manage capacity, and support Capex activities to optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of IE experience, including supervision.
• Good knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
• Command good written and spoken English.
• Good Power point presentation skills.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish work measurement programs and develop labor standards for productivity.
• Evaluate staff utilization, facility layout, and production data to optimize labor and equipment use.
• Recommend methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste, reorganize workflow, and procure equipment as needed.
• Coordinate production planning and control systems to ensure product quality.
• Design or improve systems for distribution and plant location decisions.
• Manage capacity to meet customer demand and lead Capex activities.
• Lead Kaizen/Lean projects to improve space utilization, throughput, line balance, and cycle time.

If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

The Industrial Engineering Manager will be based in Batam. The role is responsible for managing a team of industrial engineers working on increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently

Responsibilities:

• Manages a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs and evaluate work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Evaluates staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• Production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Designs or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations.
• Capacity management to meet customer demand
• Manage Capex related activities
• Continuous improvement on Space utilization , throughput, line balance, Cycle Time reduction etc by lead Kaizen/Lean projects and activities.

Qualifications:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master's or MBA Degree is preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of IE experience, including supervision.
• Good knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing
• Command good written and spoken English
• Good Power point presentation skills
• Good communication skills
