Job summary

Pengiklan Anonim is seeking a Production Manager to lead planning, coordination, and control of the production process. The role focuses on safe, efficient, on-time manufacturing within budget and quality standards, with emphasis on leadership across Supervisors and Operators and strong collaboration with Planning, Warehouse, Procurement, and Sales.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor degree or above in industrial engineering, production management or related field.
• Knowledge of production and operation management, quality management, and supply chain.
• 10+ years of production site management experience in large enterprises; lithium industry experience preferred.
• Professional engineering or manufacturing certification, where applicable.
• Experience with ISO or other relevant management systems.
• Experience in high-volume or highly automated manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing multiple production lines or shifts.
• Experience with budget management and cost-reduction programs.
• Language: English is a must; Mandarin skill is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control the production process to meet safety, efficiency, schedule, budget and quality goals.
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
• Allocate manpower, machinery, materials, and resources; monitor progress and take corrective actions.
• Lead production supervisors and operators and set performance targets; conduct regular meetings.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies; promote safety culture.
• Monitor costs, labor productivity, machine utilization, and reduce waste and downtime.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
• Report production performance and KPIs; communicate risks and improvement plans to management.

Job description

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the production process to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards.

Responsibilities :

Production Planning & Management

Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.

Ensure production schedules are achieved according to customer requirements.

Allocate manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources effectively

Monitor production progress and take corrective action when targets are at risk.

Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Procurement, and Sales to ensure material availability.

Manage production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks.

Ensure efficient utilization of equipment, labor, and production facilities.

Lead, supervise, and develop production supervisors and operators.

Set clear performance expectations and production targets.

Conduct regular team meetings and production briefings.

Monitor employee performance, attendance, discipline, and productivity.

Identify training needs and coordinate appropriate training programs.

Promote teamwork, accountability, and a continuous-improvement culture.

Continuously improve product quality according to the company's quality policy and team target.

Quality Management

Ensure all products meet established quality specifications and customer requirements.

Work closely with the Quality department to investigate defects and customer complaints.

Implement corrective and preventive actions.

Reduce scrap, rework, defects, and production losses.

Ensure production procedures and work instructions are properly followed.

Support internal and external audits where required.

Monitor and guide the time management of each working procedure in the production process to continuously improve the production efficiency;

Reasonably control costs, including labor costs, inventory control, material scrapping and energy cost, and continuously reduce manufacturing costs;

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Promote a strong safety culture throughout the production area.

Conduct or support safety inspections and risk assessments.

Investigate production-related incidents and implement corrective actions.

Ensure employees use appropriate PPE and follow safe operating procedures.

Maintain compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Productivity & Cost Control

Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to reduce operating expenses.

Improve labor productivity and machine utilization.

Minimize material waste, scrap, downtime, and overtime.

Implement initiatives to improve production efficiency.

Analyze production data and recommend process improvements.

Support annual budgeting and operational cost planning.

Maintenance & Equipment

Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment are available and reliable.

Monitor machine downtime and recurring equipment problems.

Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Escalate major equipment issues and production risks promptly.

Ensure equipment is operated and maintained according to company procedures.

Lead or support Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Identify production bottlenecks and eliminate root causes.

Apply tools such as 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, root-cause analysis, and Six Sigma where appropriate.

Reporting & Communication

Report production performance, downtime, quality issues, labor utilization, and other KPIs.

Communicate production risks and improvement plans to management.

Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Job requirements:

Education: equivalent to bachelor degree or above, major in industrial engineering, production management or related

Knowledge and skills: Familiar with production and operation management process, understand quality management and supply chain management, have good communication and coordination skills and leadership, and be able to effectively manage the team and deal with emergencies; Results-oriented, with excellent execution ability;

Work experience: At least 10 years production site management ( managerial role) experience in large enterprises, working experience in lithium industry is preferred
