PT DBG Technology Indonesia seeks an experienced Senior SMT Production Manager to oversee high-density PCBA and automotive electronics manufacturing. You will manage end-to-end SMT operations, ensure automotive quality standards, and drive continuous improvement with FPY and OEE targets.
The role requires 10+ years in electronics production leadership, hands-on expertise in SPI/FUJI/AOI/X-Ray, and strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive tools.
We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Senior SMT Production Manager to oversee high-density PCBA and automotive electronics manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise in SMT/DIP processes, specialized automotive quality standards (IATF 16949), advanced PCBA processes (coating, dispensing, burn-in), and continuous improvement methodologies. You will drive operational excellence, strict ESD/cleanroom controls, high First Pass Yield (FPY), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Production & Capacity Optimization: Organize production scheduling aligned with order demands, safeguard on-time delivery, minimize lead times, and optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and capacity utilization.
Process & Technical Oversight: Supervise end-to-end SMT operations, including solder paste printing (SPI), component placement (FUJI equipment), reflow soldering, AOI, X-Ray inspection, and functional testing.
Automotive & Advanced PCBA Operations: Enforce strict controls on thick-board, multi-layer, high-density placement, and automotive-grade component soldering (e.g., high-power inductors, automotive ICs). Oversee conformal coating, dispensing, ICT, FFT, and burn-in testing processes.
Shop Floor & Environmental Controls: Strictly enforce 5S management, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection, and dust/cleanliness control protocols required for automotive-grade electronics manufacturing.
Quality & Continuous Improvement: Drive high First Pass Yield (FPY) standards. Perform root cause analysis for quality deviations using 8D reports, Fishbone diagrams, and 5-Why analysis. Implement Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) mechanisms and utilize SPC for preventive quality control.
Cost & Yield Control: Control material loss (solder paste, electronic components), reduce labor scrap, and optimize headcount and production costs.
Leadership & People Management: Direct cross-functional communication, construct robust workshop teams, establish performance evaluation frameworks (KPIs), and manage training for operators and technical engineers.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Quality Management, or related fields.
Language: English proficiency is strictly required as a primary working language.
Work Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of production management experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Minimum 5+ years in a management role (Production Manager / Senior Production Supervisor) within SMT workshops or large-scale electronics manufacturing plants.
Equipment & Technical Mastery:
Deep familiarity with end-to-end SMT processes, including SPI, FUJI placement machinery, reflow soldering, AOI, and X-Ray inspection.
Proven capability to independently troubleshoot line bottlenecks, machine failures, and technical defects.
Hands-on expertise in ICT, FFT (Functional Testing), conformal coating, dispensing processes, and burn-in testing.
Quality Systems & Automotive Tools:
Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management standards.
Proficiency in the Automotive Industry Core Tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP, with practical expertise in applying SPC for defect prevention.
Strong knowledge of Poka-Yoke design/execution and strict ESD & Cleanroom control requirements.
Leadership & Soft Skills: Excellent cross-departmental coordination, team-building capabilities, staff training skills, and strong pressure handling for high-volume, high-reliability manufacturing environments.
