Job summary

Star Energy Geothermal is seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist to administer and execute procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effective, quality-driven sourcing aligned with company procedures.

You will review and manage PRs, POs, contracts, and supplier performance, providing guidance on material availability and market trends while maintaining integrity and compliance across all transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a top-tier university with outstanding academic record.
• 5 years of relevant job and field work experience in energy or geothermal industry preferred.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and issue resolution.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge on electrical and instrument material.
• Familiar with ERP systems; SAP preferable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good oral and written communications in English.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and ensures accuracy and completeness of incoming PR, scope of work, RFQ, and supervises procurement process.
• Reviews PO, SO, Contracts and other agreements prior to approvals.
• Interfaces with suppliers to find solutions and seek advice as needed.
• Jointly assess supplier performance with the Performance group and provide comments.
• Provides consultancy on material sources, prices, availability, and market trends.
• Experience in outsourcing materials especially electrical, instrument, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures procurement meets specifications, quality requirements and delivery schedules.
• Proceeds with contractual requirements for long-term contract material supplies.
• Performs other procurement activities as required by procedures.
• Implements systems and procedures required for an effective procurement process.

Job description

Procurement Specialist main responsibility is to administer and excecute procurement of goods and services to ensure that goods and services are obtained in the most economic, effective and efficient process to the best interest of the Company, within the framework of quality and delivery required, while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity in all transactions.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and ensures the accuracy and completeness of incoming PR, adequacy of scope of work and any other exhibits, develops and reviews RFQ, and supervises procurement process in accordance with Procurement Procedures.
• Reviews and ensures Purchase Order (PO), Service Order (SO), Contract, and any other agreements prior to obtaining approvals.
• Interfaces with Suppliers to find solutions should problems occur and seek advises from Supervisor if necessary.
• Jointly conduct assessment, with Performance group, on Supplier's performance and provide comments.
• Provides consultancy services to Users on source of material supplies, prices, availability, and general market trends.
• Having experience in outsourcing material especially electrical, instrument, electronic component, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensures that the procurement of material meet specification, quality requirement and delivery schedule.
• Proceed contractual requirement for long term contract material supplies.
• Perform other procurement activities as required by Procurement Procedures.
• Implements systems and procedures required for an effective and efficient procurement process.

General requirements

• At minimum, a bachelor's degree (in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other relevant disciplines) from a top-tier university with consistent outstanding academic record.
• 5 years of relevant job and field work experience in energy industry or geothermal industry is preferred.
• Demonstrated project management skill, including developing a project plan, schedule, dependency identification, status reporting, and issue resolution.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge on electrical and instrument material
• Familiar with ERP system and business process (SAP is preferable)
• Intermediate to advance user for Microsoft Office, such as: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good oral and written communications in English.
