Job summary

Eka Jaya Group (Hanasui, NCo) is seeking a Process Engineer Assistant Manager to lead process engineering initiatives in our cosmetics manufacturing facility. The role emphasizes scale‑up, process validation, and continuous improvement to ensure product quality.

You will supervise a team of engineers and technicians, drive GMP/BPOM compliance, and collaborate with R&D, QA, and Production to support launches and optimize operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cosmetics or personal care manufacturing.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead position.
  • Hands‑on experience in emulsions, gels, suspensions, and hot/cold batch processing.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, BPOM regulations, and cosmetic manufacturing standards.
  • Familiarity with process equipment such as inline homogenizers, vacuum emulsifiers, planetary mixers.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting batch issues (viscosity, pH, emulsion stability, etc.).
  • Strong analytical thinking, root cause analysis, leadership, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement: Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across bulk manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and product consistency.
  • Scale‑Up Execution: Manage the scale‑up of new and reformulated products from lab trials to full production batches, ensuring seamless transition and quality.
  • Batch Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve batch‑related issues (viscosity, pH deviations, emulsion instability) to maintain high‑quality standards.
  • Process Validation: Oversee validation activities to ensure all production processes meet GMP, BPOM, and internal quality requirements.
  • Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers and technicians, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure strict compliance with GMP, BPOM regulations, and company SOPs across all process engineering activities.
  • Production Optimization: Optimize batch manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and quality performance.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, QA, Production, and Regulatory teams to support timely and compliant product launches.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate process documentation, validation records, and continuous improvement reports to support internal audits and KPI tracking.
